it can't be that time already again!

Here is my fridayfive -- the what are you reading edition:

1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
I'd say novels, but my tastes are pretty ecclectic.

2. What is your favorite novel?
"Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. That reminds me -- I need to re-read it.

3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
Tough one -- can I get back to you? Okay, this seems appropriate given recent events:

It's You I Like
© 1971 Fred M. Rogers

It's you I like
It's not the things you wear.
It's not the way you do your hair,
But it's you I like.

The way you are right now,
the way down deep inside you,
Not the things that hide you
Not your toys--they're just beside you.

But it's you I like.
Every part of you--
Your skin, your eyes, your feelings
Whether old or new.
I hope that you'll remember
Even when you're feeling blue
That it's you I like, it's you yourself
It's you. It's you I like.

4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
The piles of books I have bought but barely read more than the back cover.

5. What are you currently reading?
"When Smart People Fail: Rebuilding Yourself for Success" by Carole Hyatt & Linda Gottlieb.
