rock, rule and spin

So over the Easter weekend, B and I:

  • Saw the 10:40pm show on Friday of Holes with the cows. (everyone loved it!)

  • Drove to San Jose (yes, I know the way) on Saturday afternoon.

  • Attended the launch of an iMax movie about the Coral Reef at The Tech museum, gratis.

  • (Didn't stay for the big bash, though, so missed out on meeting William Shatner).

  • Drove back to Rockridge, grabbed dinner at Cactus, and hopped on BART to the City.

  • Once in the City, celebrated the official opening of Louie's Bar and Grill, a hip new joint in the Financial District (B has made friends of one the owners (although none of them are named "Louie" )).

  • Came home, dyed Easter eggs and made marble magnets (finally).

  • Then on Sunday, drove to Sacramento and had a combination party for Easter and my cousin's birthday (which was the previous day) at my Aunt and Uncle's home.

  • Drove back in moderate traffic, learned about something called "Pink Slip Paralysis" and a book called Work It! How to Get Ahead, Save Your Ass, and Land a Job in Any Economy by Allison Hemming while listening to Sound Money.

  • Came upstairs, had tea and chocolate chip pancakes and went to bed.

Like I said, my life looks pretty exciting on paper. (Of course there is a little marketer inside me who understands the concept of spin.)
