i am here
Arrived in downtown Chicago a little before 4pm today (well, technically yesterday at this point). Was a little overwhelmed, but managed to calm myself down. {I think I actually had a panic attack.}
Took my first trip on The El. It is very different from BART. I don't like the way the platform shakes. It reminds me of one of those old wooden roller coasters. We went all the way out to Evanston and had dinner at the Davis Street Fish House. Quite tasty. We also stopped at the Borders on the way back.
Tomorrow I get to finally see the GSB campus as well as meet some of the people. This time it seems partners don't have a separate schedule. No idea how many will even be there. That said, I really need to get to bed.

I agree about the El: It was like the Big Dipper in Santa Cruz. I chaperoned a group of teenagers on a trip to Chicago and they insisted on raising their hands and screaming (roller coaster style) along the terms. It was a little embarrassing. :)
Nice blog! I'm enjoying it. I hope you don't mind my snooping.
