class update

B announced today that he switched into the Operations class he wanted. He needs to take one in order to graduate. Instead of doing the 'Ops 101' class, he will be taking supply chain management, a much sexier course. He also informed me he has decided to audit a Saturday morning class. Ugh.

Actually it is probably not as bad as it sounds. It will ensure that we are up and out, and will probably force me to find something fun to do. Already I have signed up for two volunteer activities this weekend.

Friday is the only day that B does not have class. Well, he technically doesn't have class on Wednesday either, but he is committed to meeting up with his group of other classmates that are still looking for their next position.

Hopefully we will take some time to explore Chicago on Fridays. Today we went to Southport Grocery and Cafe again. They seriously have the BEST cupcakes. I had the chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta and a coke in a glass bottle. Mmmm.

We came back and then headed down to the LPF, the first of the quarter. I think because many students don't have Friday classes, as well as the fact that it started to rain, it wasn't very well attended. It was also interesting because technically it is Lent, so many people don't eat meat on Fridays that they chose an Italian theme. They served meatballs, antipasto, spaghetti, and a rice dish. The rice and the spaghetti were both vegetarian, it just seemed like last time this year, they had fish.
