it's tuesday and the sky was blue
I was up before 7am, but not ready to face the day, I walked back down the hall and went back to bed. By 11am, I was up and dressed. Even made us some scrambled eggs for breakfast.
B left for his class, and I went about checking email and such. I still really couldn't get into things so decided to go lie down for a bit. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door.
I hadn't really forgotten, but knew it was possible that they would come to test the smoke detector inside our apartment. I got up and let the guy in. He tested it. It worked, and then he was gone. Mortified that I forgot to shut the bedroom door where I have torn my closet apart, I went back to bed.
I emerged about an hour later. It was almost 3pm. I think I was still tired from the driving. When you typically only drive once per week for less than 20 miles, doing over 800 miles in a weekend can get the better of you. So I decided to go to Starbucks.
I got a venti black tea lemonade and headed back home. I got the mail from the lobby before taking the elevator upstairs.
I checked my email and realized I needed to get cracking on a project. I spent the rest of the afternoon finishing it.
B returned home as I was trying to meet my deadline. He made something to eat, as I tried to figure out Italian. I actually was converting an HTML document into a Word document all in Italian. I don't speak Italian.
After sending it off, we decided to get something for dinner. We went over to Fox and Obel so we could grab a bite at the cafe and pick up a couple of grocery items for the next couple of days. We used the free valet parking.
I had the chicken Caesar salad, and B had the lobster club (so decadent). Then we got some fish and bread and milk and red potatoes and red corn and green onions and bananas and lettuce and hickory turkey and crackers and cupcakes.
I dropped B off at the apartment with the groceries and his luggage that was still left in the car, and headed off to Target by myself. Somehow we were out of laundry stuff again, and since we brought back a giant bag of dirty laundry, it had to be done.
The store was more crowded than one would have thought given the hour. I managed to spend $45 on Clorox2, Biotene, paper napkins, tissues, sponges, garbage bags, Rice Krispies, and a new toothbrush.
Came home and had some tea. Apparently I was a bit tense.
Sent off some email, took a shower and watched Martha on the TiVo. Soon I will go to bed. Not sure if I would call this day typical. I don't think I have such a thing as a typical day.
