And the end gets closer still. Time is just zipping by. It is May already too!
Protesters are currently blocking Michigan Avenue out in front of The Art Institute. There is a helicopter overhead. Happy May Day! Reportedly there is a bistro in River North called Brasserie Jo is offering free hot dogs (served on a baguette with Dijon mustard) in honor of the day. We have had dinner there, and I highly recommend the chocolate mousse -- it is an experience. Oh my!
The noise levels are insane right now. They are fixing something outside, and it sounds like they are drilling for oil. Meanwhile the banging has started overhead again. Ahhh!!
Our ISP does seem to be behaving again, and has fixed port 143 so I can once again get my work email. Those little details can bite you in the rear if you aren't careful.
On the horizon are events, events, and more events. The spring fling was announced. My friend's wedding is less than three weeks away. There are baby showers too. And the end of the year party, which it looks like I may miss. Bummer.
And of course there is book club. Last I heard no one had responded, although I did get a nice email today asking me what's up, even though I am no longer a co-chair.
The weather is gray and dreary. Not helping with my mood at all.
I am trying to stay focused though and get things done. Clearly there is LOTS to do this week. The big event of course being B's birthday. He says he doesn't want any fuss as he too is crazy busy, but I don't want things to end up like my birthday. Oh no. That was so unfun. Emotions were high and we were both in tears by the night's end.
