red excitement

Yes, I know I wrote this rant about the holidays, but there is something about the whole red cup thing that makes me downright giddy. I can't explain it. Perhaps it is the simplicity of the idea, or that it is a tradition I can live with and even spread.

Today we went down to Newport Beach again. B had to take care of some trading business, and so I waited for him at the Starbucks next door. It is all decked out in RED.

Of course, I ordered a venti black tea lemonade, so no red cup for me. But that's okay. They did have samples of the gingerbread latte. It is one of the few coffee drinks I like, but it was just too nice outside though to be drinking something hot, in my opinion at least.

They have new holiday Starbucks cards. And there are also holiday Santa bears - so cute. And of course all kinds of other holiday goodies ranging from cups to CDs. I didn't look too hard for fear something might just have to come home with me.
